My name is Eddie Oygur. I started making Ugg boots 34 years ago. In 1995 the US multi-national Deckers Brands bought the ‘Ugg’ trademark and since then they have sold billions and billions of dollars of Ugg boots around the world, and have stopped anybody else using the term ‘Ugg’ – even though it is a name that I believe belongs to Australia.

I have put everything I own into this case because I am a proud Australian that believes Ugg belongs in Australia, not just for me to use, but for every other Ugg bootmaker to be able to sell Australian made Ugg boots to the world.

· Getting the name Ugg back to Australia could be a multi-billion-dollar export industry for dozens of Ugg boot makers

· Create over 4,000 well paid jobs right here.

· Tell Deckers Aussie battlers WILL NOT BE BULLIED by anyone.

Call the Attorney-General

The Attorney-General, Senator Michaelia Cash so far refuses to file the amicus brief Eddie needs to take on a multi-national in the US Supreme Court and bring the Ugg home to Australia.

That's why we need to ramp up the pressure: can you please pick up the phone and call Senator Cash's office today?

The last date for the Attorney-General to agree to file an amicus brief, and to get the brief prepared, is November 1st. That's just five days away.

Call Senator Michaelia Cash

Senator Michaelia Cash Senator Michaelia Cash Attorney-General 02 6277 7300

  • I understand the Attorney-General has the opportunity to support Eddie's US court battle by filing a brief.
  • I'm urging Senator Cash to take that step before it's too late, to stand up for Aussie small businesses, Aussie jobs, and for the iconic Aussie Ugg boot. Thank you.
